Ces "asperatus" sont superbes, j'en ai rarement vu d'aussi étalés avec en plus des couleurs rosées :love: quelle chance !!
C'est d'ailleurs souvent au-dessus des montagnes que j'en ai vu, comme si les turbulences créées par les sommets favorisait ces formes de nuages...
C'est pris dans les Alpes du sud ??

Ce n'est pas fréquent effectivement, d'ailleurs comme l'a précisé Syndyne, cette appellation est toute récente (il s'agit d'une variété d'altocumulus), certainement à cause de cette rareté. Je n'en ai vu que 5 ou 6 fois également, c'est toujours assez impressionnant.
Je sais qu'on les appelle comme ça, mais je crois que le débat fait rage chez les scientifiques pour que cette appellation soit officielle ou non, du fait qu'ils dépendent de perturbations etc, qu'ils sont assez mal connus.

Sinon j'ai vu que tu te demandais si on pouvait voir des mammatus en montagne. La réponse est oui, j'en ai moi même vu dans les Pyrénées Orientales en juillet 2010 :)

That is known as Asperatus Cloud. It's only a newly classified cloud variant -as of 2010.

My dream is to see once mammatus clouds, but I don't know if we can see these clouds in the mountains ?

Most welcome. Yes they are quite rare!

Mammatus will appear with most severe storms but it takes the right light conditions to show it up nicely :)
